A Career-Based Conference Focusing on Fashion, Finance, Hospitality & Tourism

DECA’s New York Experience Conference gives DECA members a unique opportunity to learn about career fields that are vital to the most exciting city on Earth – New York. At this conference students explore fashion merchandising, tour and learn the history of the Wall Street financial district (including Ground Zero), hear from tourist attraction marketing experts, and much more.

Tentative Schedule:

Wednesday - Conference registration and advisor orientation

Thursday - Morning workshops, afternoon educational tours, evening Radio City Music Hall Christmas Show

Friday - Morning workshops, afternoon educational tours, evening Broadway show

Saturday - Morning educational walking tour of the Young Designers' Warehouse and Soho fashion boutiques, evening free time

Morning workshops will be presented by the staffs of New York City attractions. Afternoon tours will include NBC Studios, the Wall Street District, and the Empire State Building. The Friday night Broadway show is yet to be determined, but will be different from last year.

Note: Students must be DECA members at the time of registration for this conference.

Fees: Registration - $250 per attendee

Rooms: For Week 1 (Nov 30 - Dec 4) the rooms are $215 per night for one bed (one or two people) and $250 per night for 2 beds (two to four people). For Week 2 (Dec 7 – 11) the rooms are $205 per night for one bed and $230 per night for two beds.
