Hello my fellow DECAites! I am Mary Carolyn Moore, or MC, your 2010 - 2011 South Carolina DECA President. For a quick introduction, I am a senior at White Knoll High School and I am very much into sports! Other than running and volleyball though, I enjoy dancing, singing and can almost always be found baking. I am a HUGE Carolina Gamecock fan, but ultimately God is #1 in my life.
I am excited for the coming year with my officer team; they are a great group of leaders that I am privileged to work alongside. I am also ecstatic to see what SC DECA will accomplish this year! I can't wait to see all of you at this year's Fall Leadership Conference and hear what your chapters have been doing for our organization! See you soon and best wishes!

I am a senior at Midland Valley High School, and have been involved in DECA since my freshman year. Being in DECA helped me become more of a leader. The first time I got to compete was my freshman year, and I made it to SCDC. From that point on I knew that DECA was my life. I fell in love with DECA and all it had to offer. As my junior year came along, I realized that I wanted to do more involving DECA and not just inside of my own school. When my advisor told me that she believed I could do anything I put my mind to, I went for it and ran for Vice President of Business Partnerships. I never ran for anything before, and couldn’t believe I was now a South Carolina State Officer. I will enjoy serving South Carolina DECA my senior year.

Hello, everyone! It is such a privilege to be you South Carolina DECA Vice President of Media Relations. I have lived in the Irmo area my whole life and am now a senior at Dutch Fork High School. I have been a member in DECA since my sophomore year and loved it right away. I have always been a social person and being in DECA allowed me to put myself to work in an active way that helped me reach out to other students in my school. My fellow state officer and close friend, Lawrence Borrmann convinced me to run for state office and I knew right away that becoming a state officer for SC DECA would be such an amazing way to spread my love of DECA and to get more students involved. Becoming a state officer was the next step for me and I am so glad I have been given this opportunity. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know as many South Carolina DECA members to help communicate what you all want to see us do and to represent the students in South Carolina to the best of my ability.
I am a senior at Brookland-Cayce HS. I have a loud and totally random personality. I am the goal keeper for the Lady Bearcat Soccer team. I hope to go to college on a soccer scholarship and major in Business Administration. From there, I would like to go to Med School to become an Orthopedic Surgeon.
My first year in DECA was my junior year. I soon became the Vice-President of BC DECA. Then I went to fall leadership and thought it would be cool to become a State Officer. So, I ran for the Vice-President of Chapter Development. And I won! Now, I'm super excited to work with my State Action Team for 2011-2012 and get to know SC DECA members.
This year, I am a senior at Dutch Fork High School, and have been involved in DECA since I was a freshman. Although, I used to be a very shy and quiet student, being in DECA helped to mold me into a more social and well-rounded student. The first time I got to compete was my sophomore year, and I made it to SCDC, and met the officer candidates while being a voting delegate. I was so inspired by their speeches that I became determined to run for a state officer position the next year. I remember my chapter advisor saying she wasn't sure if she would let me run, but after a while I was able to prove to her that I was, and still am, a very dedicated member of DECA. Junior year came around and I achieved my goal of becoming South Carolina's Vice President of Special Projects. Thanks to the voting delegates and members that took the time to visit my booth and listen to my speech, I get to serve South Carolina DECA to the best of my abilities my senior year, and couldn't be happier.
